Our community includes four individual residence wings distinguished by color scheme and themes. Connecting the four residences is The Town Center. The Town Center is designed to replicate a small-town main street featuring a movie theatre, general store, bank, library, beauty salon, tavern, ice cream and hot dog stand along with replicas of historical, local icons familiar to our residents. At night, residents will enjoy the soft glow of the lampposts and the glow from the evening in our naturally-lit atrium.
Outside in our enclosed and secure courtyard areas and large porches, residents can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors in our gardens, landscaped walkways and outdoor features like bird feeding stations and raised flower beds.
Each wing features 12 bedroom suites, a quiet and relaxing living room, a richly-appointed dining room and kitchen and common areas. All utilities are included except for phone and cable television.
Visual Cues And Stimulation
At Arden Courts, visual cues can be an effective way of communicating with people living with dementia. There are visual cues everywhere. Symbols and colors help our residents avoid confusion, stay oriented and remain as independent as possible. Descriptive photos can often take the place of language and signs. These cues are designed not only to help residents effortlessly navigate the halls and pathways, but also to stimulate memory and create triggers.
Residents do not leave the closely monitored confines of Arden Courts, yet rarely feel restricted. They move freely about the community, both indoors and outdoors, without leaving our secure environment. The common areas encourage the enjoyment of interaction and socialization without sacrificing safety.
Arden Richmond offers a choice of a Standard Studio or a Deluxe Studio. Your rental includes a variety of services and amenities to help you live well with memory challenges.
